Keep in mind in the assembly process!
An assembly task can be a complex and that may require the joining of sheet metals. Using the right rivet nut provides a longer lasting and stronger thread for the application. This allows you to achieve a cost-effective and hassle-free workflow. However, in addition to determining the optimal rivet nut, you should also be careful when choosing rivet nut tool! Our rivet and rivet nut tools are suitable for a wide variety of work processes and conditions!
Joining of multiple sheets in addition with durable and strong thread can be guaranteed by the application of a rivet nut. With the help of rivet nuts, you can find a solution for easy installation of a thread even in hard-to-reach areas. When using rivet nuts, only one-sided access is required for installation.
What about rivets?
The rivets guarantee reliable fixing of materials even in the case of higher loads. Some of our rivets (Monobolt and Interlock) can also provide a large grip range and hole fill. While our standard rivets are capable of good shear and tensile strength, they are suitable for applications require reliability.
But what ensures proper fixing and installation of rivets and rivet nuts?
A rivet or rivet nut tool what is suitable for the application and has sufficient force.
What kind of rivet nuts can you find at us?
- One hand applicable for smaller rivet nuts
- Two hands applicable with long leverer for bigger rivet nuts
- Stroke-controlled hydro pneumatic rivet nut tool
- Tensile force adjustable hydro pneumatic rivet nut tool
How do rivets nuts setted securely with rivet nut tools?
First you place the rivet nut on the thread of the used rivet tool (with hand tool user must spin it up manually, and automatically spins up in case of hydro pneumatic tool). Then, once you have inserted the rivet nut into the hole with the correct diameter, using the leverer or pressing fix button you tighten it and fix it to the sheet metal. Of course, you need to set the correct amount of stroke or tightening force. On the opposite side of the sheet, the body of the rivet nut will make a bulb like a washer. This way the rivet nuts are securely fastened.
Rivet tools for fast fixing of rivets
With the help of rivets, you can fasten the materials together.
How does this work in practice?
The POP rivet setted by the riveting machine is being extended by the mandrel head and the diamaeter of the body at back side is enlarging. As soon as the mandrel head stucks at the sheet the rivet mandrel breaks at a pre setted force and making the joint.
Depending on the price and quality of the machine, it will then determine whether the rivet mandrels will be sucked into the mandrel collector or fall out of the machine (front or back) and roll arround.
You can choose first insert the rivet into the hole, then the rivet tool on it or the rivet into the machine and then into the hole. The rivet is partially designrd to pull together the sheets, but better try to push together the sheets. Then use the riveting machine to fix the rivet. This results in tight connection.
It is not disputed that riveting is the oldest method of forming an insoluble bond between metal elements.
In special situations, you can take great advantage of suction of mandrels. It keeps the mandrel in the riveting machine and after setting it transfers the rod to the container (mandrel collector). This allows you to keep your hands free while you work; and the falling mandrels are no problem.
