Even for many different sheet thicknesses
Is the task given? Do you need to attach a small thickness metal workpiece to another metal or plastic part with additional thread also? This will require, the use of high quality rivet nut! Are you facing non precisely defined or multiple material thicknesses? Our selection of rivet nuts knows the right answer for every task!
There are many types of installation requirements. Sometimes it is necessary to attachemultiple sheets with addition a thread. In this case, the use of a rivet nut guarantees a longer and more durable thread including fixation of sheets and provides a solution for easy execution of the task, even in hard-to-reach areas, as it requires only one-sided access.
How does the rivet nut work?
Inserting the rivet nut into the hole of the appropriate diameter and thickness of sheet, installing the rivet nut using a rivet nut tool. On the opposite side of the sheet, pull force will cause the body of the rivet to bulb and make a tight washer like deformation. This is how it becomes fixed. It also works well for only one side access. Using the rivet nut will not damage or deform the surface treatment!
Our rivet nuts are available in many different versions and sizes. They can be cylindrical, hexagonal or rectangular. They can have Flat head countersunk head or recessed (small countersunk) head and the body can be open or closed end type. A wide range of rivet nuts are available in the following materials: steel, stainless steel, stainless steel (A2 AISI304), extra stainless steel for more resistance against chlorids (A4 AISI316), aluminum and copper. According to the thread strength 8 and 12 grade rivet nuts are also available!
What are the benefits of using a rivet nut?
With a rivet nut, you can create a durable and load-bearing nut thread without welding, even in thin sheets. Hard-to-reach places are not difficult for it either.
- Can also be used in hard to reach places.
- Provides durable and reliable nut thread without welding.
- It does not damage the surface or deform the workpiece.
- Quick and easy installation.
- Requires one side access.
- You can even fix multiple sheets together and save the use of other fasteners.
Do you also find that the same form and size but different grip range of rivet nuts are mixed up when one person is installing them into an applications with different material thicknesses?
Standard rivet nuts have a limited grip range, so rivet nuts of various sizes must be kept in stock. However, for this problem there is a large grip range (multi grip) rivet nut in our offer!
Multi grip Rivet Nuts - Ideal for multiple sheet thicknesses
With multiple sheet thicknesses, you may face the fact that you need many types of standard rivet nuts. Or not?
You can avoid many different standard rivet nuts using the Multi grip (large grip range) rivet nuts!
The new Multi grip rivet nut allows you to use it in a grip range of up to 0.5 - 8 mm, depending on the thread diameter. Of course, you need a proper rivet nut tool for it also. In this case stroke adjusted rivet nut tools are not good. You have to use pull force adjusted rivet nut tool.
The biggest advantages of the Multi grip rivet nuts:
- No more frustration on using the wrong rivet nut in the application where are different thicknesse!
- You do not have to worry that the rivet nut will not deform and lock properly. While the average gripping range of an standard rivet nut is 0.5-3.0 mm, 3.0-5.5 to 5.5-8.0, you can count inappropriate fixing for non-well defined material thickness. This is not the case with Multi grip one.
- Unlike standard rivet nuts, working with widely varying sheet thicknesses does not require more types of rivet nut to be stored. Instead of a number of rivet nuts, you can use one. You can also reduce the number of rivet nut types!
- You will be no longer annoyed by the possible mix of the rivet nuts. Because the Multi grip rivet nuts cover a wide range of sheet thicknesses, so the mistake chances are minimal.
Multi grip is up to the task! For a nut sheet thicknesses can go up to 8 mm. It will work great even with a non-round or oversized hole. Meanwhile, its strength values correspond to those of a traditional rivet nut.
The task can be multiple, but choosing the right rivet nut will help you work through the workflow in a cost-effective and hassle-free way!
